Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Azure Data Engineer with 6+ years of
hands-on experience in building and maintaining data pipelines, data lakes, and enterprise
data solutions on the Microsoft Azure platform. The ideal candidate should have a solid
understanding of cloud architecture, data warehousing, and ETL/ELT processes.
Key Responsibilities:
∙Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Azure
Synapse Analytics, Databricks, and Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS).
∙Implement data ingestion, transformation, and integration processes from various sources
(on-premises/cloud).
∙Create and manage Azure resources for data solutions, including storage accounts,
databases, and compute services.
∙Develop and optimize SQL scripts, stored procedures, and views for data transformation and
reporting.
∙Ensure data quality, governance, and security standards are met using tools like Azure
Purview, Azure Key Vault, and Role-Based Access Control (RBAC).
∙Collaborate with Data Scientists, BI Developers, and other stakeholders to deliver enterprise-
grade data solutions.
∙Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline failures and performance issues.
∙Document technical solutions and maintain best practices.
Technical Skills Required:
∙Azure Data Factory (ADF) – Expertise in building pipelines, triggers, linked services, etc.
∙Azure Synapse Analytics / SQL Data Warehouse
∙Azure Databricks / Spark / PySpark
∙Azure Data Lake (Gen2)
∙Azure SQL / Cosmos DB / SQL Server
∙Strong knowledge of SQL, T-SQL, and performance tuning
∙Good understanding of ETL/ELT frameworks and data modeling concepts (Star/Snowflake
schema)
∙Experience with CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps
∙Familiarity with tools like Git, ARM templates, Terraform (optional)
∙Knowledge of Power BI integration is a plus
