The Data and Analytics Lead is responsible for overseeing an organization's data strategy and managing its data analytics team. The role requires a strong background in data management,
analytics, and business intelligence, as well as excellent leadership and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Architecting and Designing Data Projects
- Performance optimization and tuning of Data Flow mechanisms.
- Involving with Business and stakeholders to understand the requirements.
- Out of the Box thinking to provide more value to the business.
- Understands Data Analysis – Data Modelling, Data Project Requirement Gathering, Data Mapping
- Exposure and experience in Data Lake and Data Warehouse Projects
- Review the Design, architecture, and technical aspects.
- Designing Tables, views as per needs
- Provide support for ad hoc requests from Business Users.
- Provide support for Analytics Processes monitoring and troubleshooting.
- Knowing at least one BI tool (Tableau / Power BI ) is mandatory.
- Good knowledge of DBMS tool like MySQL /SQL/Oracle and Stored Procedures
- Knowledge on ETL tools.
- Hands-on experience in programming languages Python/R is a plus.
- Use statistical methods to analyze data and generate useful business reports.
- Design, execute and embed the Data Analytics strategy.
- Manage a senior team and lead the function for India location.
- Liaise with Senior stakeholders, cross functional team, and work very closely with business to address data strategy and control and governance around it.
- Ideate, develop, and apply forensic data science and Analytical modelling techniques to identify trends and potential control issues by looking at datasets from across many different businesses.
- Execute complex analytics for control testing, deep dives, event/issues analysis and other data analysis whilst upskilling control test operators/other CCO team to deliver more data driven assurance.
- Provide leadership and keep abreast of upcoming new technologies and its applicability.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, statistics, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in data management, analytics, and business intelligence.
- Strong leadership skills and experience managing a team of data professionals.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience working with large datasets and designing and implementing data infrastructure.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools such as SQL, Python, and R.
- Knowledge of data governance and quality control best practices.
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other departments within the organization.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively to develop data-driven solutions.
